Loving The Alien is a tribute to a sub group of experimental new wave artists who lived and flourished in New York during the 70's on the coattails of David Bowie's career, that itself borrowed from the flamboyant masks and costumes of 70's gay culture.
Loving The Alien follows a group of performance artists and singers through the New York underground that flourished during the 70's and early 80's. The film captures the psychedelic drug taking and performance personalities of some of the top artists of the times.
Loving The Alien is a film about death, fame, drugs and the artists, who for a brief moment in time, captured the imaginations of the audiences they performed for!
